Another season ends..... Come help celebrate members successes. Who will be top this season? And the delights of a buffet amongst all those shining cups and awards. Please note that we are holding the Presentation Night at The Jubilee Pub, Jubilee Road, NE3 3PN. From Kenton Road towards Wansbeck Road Metro the pub is on the left at the traffic light junction.

Eileen is a passionate photographer who especially likes natural light portraits and also Mono images. Since retiring she has been able to concentrate more on her photographic work.

A change to the programme: Our guest speaker has cancelled due to technical issues. Harry McAtominey a fellow member has agreed to step in. After a trip to Kenya he has quickly put together a presentation. Kenya in a hurry.  Please come along and support Harry. I know we can expect another great evening with Harry's wit, humour and amazing images.

13.02.24. Arjun will discuss presenting your work in a different way than a single image. Working on a Project or preparing Panels. Discussion will also cover any members wanting advice on preparing for an LRPS Advisory day or Assessment. 

Cherry belongs to many photographic groups online such as Flickr and on Facebook and is a member of Eastbourne Photographic Society. ​

Her work has been exhibited at many national and international exhibitions during the process of  working towards her photographic distinctions.

The presentation is looking at being more adventurous with flower and plant photography, with light, simplicity, shapes, textures, inversion and botanical presentations.

Power and Poise in Sports and Dance

Steve is a member of two camera clubs, one of which is Ribblesdale and the other is Chorley. He has attained the CPAGB accreditation which equated to being a ‘good club standard photographer’ and now gained the DPAGB which is ‘good exhibition level photographer’, with the PAGB (Photographic Alliance of Great Britain). Has also managed to achieve BPE5* in the British Photographic Exhibitions circuit.

Freelance Sports Photographer based in Consett, covers major national sporting events and also specialises in providing action photography. He is a previous Wildlife Trust ‘Wildlife Photographer of the Year’ as well as an International Sports Photographer, Corporate and People Photographer.

He has photographed most sports from the Olympic Games to Local amateur clubs, he has also spent time as Official Photographer for Newcastle Falcons RFC, Durham WFC, Consett RFC and the Universities of Durham and Northumbria.

3.10.23. Roger Hance FRPS AFIAP DPAGB BPEE5* Working in themed panels

In this talk Roger will explain the thinking and construction when producing a set of images into a cohesive panel. Working in ‘themed panels’ requires a different approach. It explains the ‘thinking’ behind constructing panels and where this method of working is most suitable. An example would be someone contemplating going for an RPS distinction, which is a totally different genre of working compared to someone contemplating the PAGB distinction.
